Low-E glass is also called Low radiation coated glass; it is one kind of special glass which coated with multilayer of very low surface radiation rate of metal or other compounds. Low-E glass is a kind of green, energy-saving, environmental friendly glass products. Normal glass surface radiation rate is about 0.84, Low-E glass surface radiation is at 0.25 below. This kind of very thin film of low radiation rate coating with thickness less than one percent of the hair thickness has very high reflective rate against far infrared radiation, more than 80% of the infrared radiation can be reflected back, while ordinary transparent float glass in the far infrared reflectance is only around 12%, so Low-E glass has good blocking radiation through role. The reflectance to visible light of Low-E glass is similar with common clear glass, it is below 11%, lower than ordinary light control coated glass, can avoid the reflected light pollution.
